Find a graphic designer

Logos, flyers, packaging, social media artwork and print-ready files.

Also called logo design, branding, flyer design or artwork.

Design jobs go wrong at the brief, not at the execution. A post that says "I need a logo" gets you quotes with wildly different numbers of revisions, deliverables and rights, all of which look the same until you are three rounds in.

Say what it is for, what it has to work on, and how many rounds of changes you expect. Say if you need print-ready files, because a design that only exists as a small image cannot be printed and that is discovered at the printer.

For anything that will be printed, agree the file formats up front: vector source files for a logo, and CMYK at print resolution for anything going to press.

Writing the request

What to include so the offers come back usable

  • What the business does and who it is for
  • Where the design will be used: print, screen, signage, or all three
  • Exact sizes, if you already know them
  • Examples of work you like, and work you do not
  • The file formats you need at the end

What moves the price

Why two quotes for the same job differ

  • Number of deliverables and the sizes they are needed in
  • How many rounds of revisions are included
  • Whether source files and full rights transfer to you
  • Whether photography or illustration is needed as well
  • Turnaround time

Help24 does not publish price ranges for graphic design. Quotes come from the graphic designers themselves, and the number you agree is the number the payment is held against.

Before work starts

What to check with a graphic designer

  • Agree revisions and what counts as one before you start
  • Agree in writing that the source files and the rights come to you at the end
  • Ask for a portfolio of finished, published work
  • For a logo, insist on vector files — not just a PNG

How Help24 works

Posting a graphic design job

1

Describe the job

Say what needs doing and where you are. Posting is free, and you are not committing to anything by posting.

2

Nearby graphic designers send offers

Providers near you quote their own price. Nobody is assigned to you — you see the offers and you choose.

3

Agree the price first

Nothing starts until you have accepted an offer. The number you agree is the number that gets held.

4

Pay by M-Pesa, released when it's done

Help24 holds the payment while the work happens. The provider can see it is there; neither side can move it until you confirm the job is finished.
