Find a phone technician near you
Cracked screens, batteries, charging ports, water damage and software problems.
Also called screen replacement, mobile repair, battery replacement or fundi wa simu.
Screens and batteries are the bulk of this category, and both are jobs where the part matters more than the labour. An original screen, a good aftermarket one and a cheap copy are three different prices and three different results — brightness, touch response and how long it survives the next drop.
Ask which is being quoted. A technician who tells you plainly that they are fitting an aftermarket screen and what that means is the one to use.
For water damage, time is the thing. Do not charge it, do not switch it on repeatedly, and get it to somebody quickly — corrosion does the real damage in the days afterwards, not in the moment it went in.

Writing the request
What to include so the offers come back usable
- Make and exact model
- What is wrong and how it happened
- Whether it powers on at all
- Whether you need original or aftermarket parts
- Whether there is data on it you need kept
What moves the price
Why two quotes for the same job differ
- The model — parts for current flagships cost considerably more
- Original against aftermarket parts
- Whether the fault is on the screen alone or the assembly beneath it
- Water damage, which is diagnosis-heavy and never certain
- Data recovery, which is priced separately
Help24 does not publish price ranges for phone repair. Quotes come from the phone technicians themselves, and the number you agree is the number the payment is held against.
Before work starts
What to check with a phone technician
- Ask explicitly whether the part is original or aftermarket
- Ask what warranty the repair carries
- Back up anything you can before handing the phone over
- Sign out of accounts, or be present while the work is done, if the phone holds anything sensitive

Nearby phone technicians send offers
Providers near you quote their own price. Nobody is assigned to you — you see the offers and you choose.
Agree the price first
Nothing starts until you have accepted an offer. The number you agree is the number that gets held.
Pay by M-Pesa, released when it's done
Help24 holds the payment while the work happens. The provider can see it is there; neither side can move it until you confirm the job is finished.
